Shortly after revealing that Thor will now have a vagina, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada reveals that there’s a new sheriff in town. A black sheriff may I add. Marvel Comics’ Captain America character will be taken over by Falcon, one of the first African American comic book heroes,in the new All-New Captain America Series. Why the change? As described in the comic series, Steve Rogers(Chris Evans), the original Captain America, was stripped of his powers making him of no use. Basically saying “Shut the hell up,this was supposed to happen.” This ailment causes him to pass his high ranking down to Sam Wilson better known as Falcon who was played by Anthony Mackie in the most recent film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So what does this mean? This means that the fans will be separated into three groups. There will be the people who absolutely love the idea, those who totally hate the idea, and the people who are stuck in the original comic who feel nothing should be changed. First Michael B. Jordan, who we love here at UncommonRealist, gets cast as Johnny Storm better known as the Human Torch and was an originally white character, now Captain America is African American! Does this mean a definite role for Anthony Mackie in another sequel? For right now this change is only for the comics, lets hope for a film with the new Captain America!  These recent comic occurrences are screaming “Controversy!”  This is nonetheless a brave move and UncommonRealist is all for it, are you?
