50 cent

After years with both record labels 50 decides to go independent. He announced his departure from both labels on Thursday. 50 Cent and G-Unit Records have signed a distribution agreement with Caroline, which is the independent label at Capitol Music Group.

50 Cent says:

“I have had great success to date with Shady/Aftermath/Interscope and I’d like to thank Eminem and Dr. Dre for giving me an incredible opportunity,I’ve learned so much from them through the years. I am excited to enter this new era where I can carry out my creative vision.”

I can honestly say that this may be one of the best choices he may have made for his career. I’m all for the independence! Do you think that going independent will greatly and positively have an effect on his music career?
