Author: Shae McCoy

Baltimore’s own Shae McCoy has been consistently blazing platforms and leaving her media footprint within DMV and beyond. At the ripe age of 22, she founded uncommonrealist.com. A media source positively cultivating the minds of the public in not just the realest way but in a realist way. McCoy’s deep passion for pop culture, the arts, and news has enabled her to expand her brand and be in the same room with the greats. Shae had the honor to interview actors, activists, community leaders, and local politicians. One of the highlights of her career was interviewing the Michael B. Jordan, who has starred in the Wire, Fruitvale Station, and Friday Night Lights. Shae McCoy fell in love with words at an early age. She was enamored with its power to move, motivate, and inspire. As a young girl, she wrote personal narratives and short stories. As Shae grew older, she grew fond of journalism and realized that is how she would make her mark on the world.

As much as I wanted Jeff Gutt to win tonight, he didn’t. I honestly don’t think that they should have won but, that’s what America wanted. I feel like it was Jeff’s second time on the show and he did […]

Having a first date this weekend? I recommend Anchorman 2. Now playing in theaters.

December 19, 2013No Comments

I always recommend comedy films for first dates because no one wants to cry in the movies sitting next to someone they just met! It’s never bad to cry laughing though. A movie with Will Ferrell can never fail you. […]

Pick a decade that you miss and tell us what you miss about it.

December 19, 2013No Comments

Let me start by saying, I miss the 90’s and wish I could have stayed in the 90’s. I hate what my generation has turned in to. In the 90’s the music was great, television was worth staying in the […]

You thought you knew what Hump day meant until today!

December 18, 2013No Comments

I had to do this today because I’m tired of people making sexual references apply to everything.  Something as simple as hump day shouldn’t even be associated with sex. So I went and did my research so that I can […]

What have you done this year that you are most proud of?

December 18, 2013No Comments

I will start off by saying my blog was one thing that I started this year that I am very proud of. I kept thinking negatively about it at first but, once I actually jumped in to it, I was […]

Can you honestly afford your child/children? It goes deeper than money.

December 17, 2013No Comments

Many people who read this question will misinterpret what I am asking. When I ask can you afford your child I don’t mean only with money. It goes beyond that. When it comes to feeding, showing affection and properly teaching […]

If you could just pick up and go anywhere, where would you go?
