The 2017 Kidney Walk

The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland  kicked off it’s 15th annual Greater Baltimore Kidney Walk this past weekend. This walk supports patients fighting chronic kidney disease. Philadelphia hip-hop artist, Freeway participated in the walk as ambassador and gave a performance that evoked nostalgia concluding the walk. Participants were able to watch his documentary, Free Will, which focuses on his battle with kidney failure, dialysis treatments, and more. Despite the downward spiral of the Baltimore City public school system, these students beat the odds! At Baltimore City College‘s decision day the graduating class of 2017 celebrated their college acceptances. The victory meant so much more because 99.9 percent of the graduating class got accepted into the colleges that they want to attend. This just goes to show that the teachers and students are equally dedicated. Good job City Knights!
