Primarily known as a collaborator and behind-the-scenes creator, Nature Boi is stepping outside of his box to give listeners his first self-produced collection of work. SPRNTRL, pronounced “supernatural”, is a soundtrack that is inspired by the hardships of life. It touches on everything including the tragic loss of his mother, his battle with maintaining his faith in his path, and his difficulty with making a name in the music industry.
SPRNTRL is as complex auditorily as it is lyrically. Nature Boi’s distinct range of sounds and his keen ear for sampling are demonstrated in each instrumental. The ten-track project shows why Nature Boi is a pro when it comes to creating music. Some of the artists featured include Jon Doe, Jake Sinatra, and Dope Music Village collective members, Brain Rapp and Ezko.
Nature Boi is a native of the DMV who recently shared the stage with Jay Rock, Jadakiss, and Curren$y during their stops in Maryland. Okayplayer, Noisey, DJBooth, Karen Civil, and more are just a few media platforms that have covered Nature Boi’s work.
