If you’re wondering why actor, Michael B. Jordan and filmmaker, Ryan Coogler have been amongst many recent conversations, you’ll find your answer here. There has been talk about the Creed film being in the works since 2013. In January of 2015 filming took off and just a few days ago it was a wrap. As we expected, the bay area filmmaker reconnected with Fruitvale Station actor, Michael B. Jordan for what will be seventh installment of the Rocky series. Expectations are high due to the fact that Coogler’s delivery of Fruitvale Station was impeccable.

In this film Michael B. Jordan will play Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed. Sylvester Stallone will also be in the film as the legendary, Rocky Balboa and Adonis’ mentor . Creed is produced by Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff . Ryan Coogler is the director and co-writer along with Aaron Covington. The filming process was pretty rapid don’t ya think? Creed is set to hit theaters in November of 2015. A lot of us are eager to experience the final product.

  1. Releasing Creed around the Thanksgiving holiday is genius! Feature films tend to gross higher during holidays. Schools are on break and a lot of people use vacation time at work during the holidays. Also the original Rocky film was released around the Thanksgiving holiday back in 1976.
