Do black businesses in Baltimore get enough recognition? I didn’t think so, so I’ve decided to give them shine by interviewing the owners of a few businesses you may or may not know. First I would like to start with a mogul in the making who goes by the name Milly Vanderwood. Milly, the rapper who transitioned into an art dealer, does his duty in his hometown of Baltimore City. If there is anything art related going on in the city, you can bet that Milly has had his hands on it. Although his work for the community speaks high volumes, he is a behind the scenes type of entrepreneur. He grew up being inspired by well-known moguls such as Sean Combs, Dame Dash, Master P, Jay Z, Kevin Liles, Russell Simmons and many others. Milly runs/own a creative brand umbrella where he assists and manages local music artists and other upcoming talents. He also runs an art gallery that showcases the work of local and global visual artists. Get to know more about his businesses in the brief interview below.
